The story of Peseux 7001
At just 2.5 mm thick, Caliber 7001 is the ideal choice for this project, given the watchmakers’ desire to produce a watch as thin as the first release. Thus, the movement fits perfectly into the new 38 mm diameter case. This manually wound watch revives the Art Deco style, featuring design codes from the 1930s to 1950s but with an intermediate diameter.
Finishes
Hand-finished in Geneva
Meanwhile, Furlan Marri has meticulously redesigned the bridges, incorporating hand-finished and diamond-polished edges. The crown wheel and screws are black-polished and chamfered around the stones. All the beveling is done by hand in Geneva (Meyrin, Switzerland).
